Student Organizations

Student Council

The council is made up of members of the eighth grade class and a representative from each grade room and is moderated by two teachers and the principal. The council sponsors a variety of activities throughout the year, such as prayer partner activities, a fall art action featuring student work, a January calendar raffle, candy grams in February, an Easter egg hunt for kindergarten and first grade, and an "afternoon at the movies" in June.

Social Justice

The Social Justice Committee of Ss. Colman-John Neumann School is composed of faculty members, students, and parents. The committee was formed to help the school community become aware of our responsibility as Christians to enact the corporal and spiritual works of mercy.

The primary work of the committee is the care of four children: Fany Yesenia Orellana Sanchez of Honduras, Susanta Kalindi of India, Beatrice Simumbe of Zambia, and a student at Sacred Heart School in Camden. The school also sponsors a Salesian sister from New Jersey. Monthly fundraisers hosted by the various grades underwrite the cost of this care. In addition, the following is a list of social justice programs that we participate in:

. Archdiocesan Nutritional Development Services food drives
