The date for the start of the Fall After-School Enrichment Program

The October Social Justice Project,
sponsored by the sixth grade, is a dress down day on Monday, October 29th
and will benefit St. Mary's
Shelter in Phoenixville. Students and staff who donate $1
will be able to wear a favorite team t-shirt and gym pants. All
donations should be sent in an envelope marked with the student's name
by Friday, October 26.
On Tuesday, October 30th, students may
wear a Halloween shirt and/or accessories with their school uniform.
The forms for
School Picture Day were sent home with your child(ren) today.
Please check their backpacks and folders. Return the completed
forms, with a check, on Thursday, October 25th.
Please remember to send the following items into school for recycling. Funding Factory
will give us cash for items: laser ink cartridges, inkjet cartridges,
IPods and MP3 players, cell phones, digital cameras, laptops and GPS
systems

HAPPENING AT SCJN THIS WEEK
Thursday is Pizza Day! A slice of pizza is $3.00, juice or water
is $1.00 and ice cream is $1.00. Please put your studentÕs money
in an envelope, clearly marked with his/her name and grade. Exact
change is appreciated.
On Thursday, October 18th Vicki Oman, from the Plimouth Plantation
Visiting Museum of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in PA will
visit grades four to eight in their classrooms. Mrs. Rebecca
OÕNeill will come to the afternoon session. We look forward to
learning about 17th century life in New England for the
Wampanoag and the English.
ItÕs a busy weekend at SCJN School! Pizza
Bingo is Friday, October 19th. The fun begins promptly at
6:30PM. If you havenÕt already done so, please preorder your

October 20th is the date of the first Saints Stomp 5K /1 Mile Fun Run/
Walk beginning at 9:00AM. Registration will begin at
8:00AM. Join us for a beautiful autumnal run/walk through the
Coopertown neighborhood!

will be available for all orders or any questions you may have
regarding the program.
Thank you to everyone who continues to respond to our request for help
each week - it is much appreciated! We are still in need of
sellers after many masses through November and December and are still
hoping that this school year, each family will further share the
responsibility for this program by volunteering to sell at ONE mass -
it truly takes ten minutes or less to sell - and is very easy!
We are still taking requests for masses at this time, and could
especially use sellers for the following masses:

Annual Holiday Bazaar on Sunday, November 25th from 10:00AM to 4:00PM.
We are looking for SCJN artisans/crafters/vendors. If you

PIZZA BINGO: the pre-orders deadline has been extended until
tomorrow, Thursday, October 18th. All order forms will be collected at

Fall Sports Mass: Fr. McKeaney will celebrate the
Fall Sports Mass on Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 9:00 AM

CYO Basketball Registration: The deadline for CYO basketball
registration for grades five through eight is Wednesday,
October 31, 2012.
