School Opens Its Doors to Local Families

Annual Pancake Breakfast, Open House/Tour, Book Fair and More

We welcome hungry parishioners, its winter athletes, book lovers and interested new school families on Sunday, January 31, 2016.

Several events are planned at the school that day, including:

The Annual Pancake Breakfast is one of the largest fundraising events for SCJN. From 8 a.m.-12 noon in the Parish Center, families can enjoy pancakes, sausage, pastries, coffee, tea and juice. All food will be cooked and served by SCJN school families. Parishioners and local residents are welcome to attend.
The cost is $8 per person, and cash and checks will be accepted at the door. The breakfast benefits the Home and School Association of SCJN, which helps coordinate parent involvement, plans a variety of student activities and enhances involvement in local communities.

All winter SCJN athletes are invited to attend the 9:00 a.m. Sports Mass at St. John Neumann Church, and all athletes are encouraged to wear their respective sports uniform. Then, from 9-11:00 a.m., many other activities will take place. An Open House with guided tours is planned for interested families, with parents and current students providing tours of the PreK and K-8 classrooms, plus the gymnasium and other school facilities. As part of Catholic Schools Week, new families will hear about SCJN’s academic excellence and the deep Catholic faith that tie together the school’s students. A Book Fair will be held in the SCJN library, to include children’s books, craft items and other activity kits and gifts for sale for children ages K-8th grade. A Tile Painting Fundraiser allows parents and children to hand-paint a blank white tile with their memories of the school. All tiles will be mounted outside SCJN to beautify the school. Last, SCJN Spirit Wear will be on sale for all SCJN supporters.
